Music network performance at russborough house
Chris Comhaill’s Dúchas project brings Celtic tradition into a contemporary solo-guitar context, weaving ancient Irish melodies with modern harmony, improvisation and digital textures to create a fresh, immersive musical experience. Dúchas — Irish for heritage, nature, tradition — showcases Chris’s virtuosic finger-style playing and deep connection to folklore and story.
At Russborough House in County Wicklow, audiences were treated to arrangements from this Dúchas repertoire in the elegant setting of one of Ireland’s most beautiful Georgian estates. Playing pieces drawn from traditional Celtic sources and his own arrangements, Chris’s performance at Russborough offered a captivating blend of old and new — connecting the historic ambience of the venue with the living spirit of Irish music.
